USC Thornton Chamber Singers & Concert Choir: Soundscapes
The USC Thornton Concert Choir celebrates the life of prolific Cuban composer Electo Silva, while the Chamber Singers team with USC's Polish Music Center to present works by composers Roxanna Panufnik and Paweł Lukaszewski, among others. In the first half of the program, the Concert Choir will showcase works by Silva, along with composers from Venezuela, Brazil, and Cuba. The Chamber Singers round out the concert with works by Panufnik, Lukaszewski, Craig Hella Johnson, and Morten Lauridsen, in association with the USC Polish Music Center.

University Chorus: Revolutionary Road
Join the USC Thornton University Chorus and narrator Brian Lauritzen of KUSC on a journey through America’s rich history of choral music including selections from the California Missions, The Sacred Harp, American spirituals, music of the Civil War, jazz standards, and the Great American Songbook.
Winter Gala: Brightest and Best

Beethoven’s 9th: The USC Thornton Symphony & USC Thornton Choral Artists
The USC Thornton Symphony and USC Thornton Choral Artists join forces to perform one of the great masterworks of late Classical music, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125. Completed in 1824, Beethoven’s final published symphony features the largest orchestra ever assembled by the composer and the now-iconic final movement, with a full chorus singing “Ode to Joy”—a fitting title for such a revelatory piece of music. Maestro Carl St.Clair, artistic leader of the USC Thornton Orchestra Program, will conduct the USC Thornton Symphony, the USC Thornton Chamber Singers, and the USC Thornton Concert Choir as they perform one of the most beloved symphonies ever written.
