A day-long symposium celebrates the groundbreaking, science-informed voice teaching of William Vennard (1909-1971), chair of USC Thornton's voice department for over two decades. Speakers include Stephen Austin, Ken Bozeman, Thomas Cleveland, Cindy Dewey, Lynn Helding, Scott McCoy, Kari Ragan, and Donald Simonson, and the event will culminated in the dedication of the USC Libraries' William Vennard Collection, which consists of his personal lesson notes, books, and other research materials.
