Industry Contract Officer Network (ICON) Annual Conference

Meet Sue Kim, Senior Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) Administrator at the USC Stevens Center for Innovation, at the 10th Annual Industry Contract Officer Network Conference in San Diego from October 23, 2017 to October 24, 2017.

The two-day conference is an annual gathering of university and industry contract officers, and this year's event is being held on the University of California, San Diego campus.

Carl Miller, Managing Director, Global Retail Insights Network Inc, Executive Producer of the Getting to Global Series.

Carl Miller is the Founder and Managing Director of the Global Retail Insights Network (GRIN), the principal not-for-profit global community for eCommerce professionals. Carl founded the GRIN to help cross border retailers lead and innovate through knowledge and collaboration. He previously led the retail practice at GlobalCollect (an Ingenico company), where he worked with top retailers, helping them develop global eCommerce strategies. Carl is studying innovation at the Haas School of Business executive education program, and has been designated as a ‘Top of the List E-Commerce Professional’ by the San Francisco Business Times for his innovation around B2C services.

Organized by the USC Shoah Foundation Center for Advanced Genocide Research, co-sponsored by the USC Digital Humanities Program

International scholars from many disciplines will be gathering to examine the relationships between digital methodologies, practices, ethics and contemporary Holocaust and genocide studies. How can digital humanities shape, challenge, or complement contemporary genocide studies and vice versa? The conference will investigate the ways in which digital tools and methods, new media, and information technologies can help us to challenge conventional wisdom regarding Holocaust and Genocide Studies by raising new questions, improving our understanding, deepening our analysis, widening our field of view, or pioneering new approaches.

Global warming, climate change, and renewable energy are much on people’s minds these days, and for good reason. Join an inter-generational class through the USC Emeriti College taught by Professor Tom Flood.
