Trojan ShakeOut Drill - Campus wide

Are you really prepared?  What we do now, before a big earthquake, will determine what our lives will be like afterwards. According to recent studies by seismologists, Southern California is overdue for a major earthquake.

The annual Trojan ShakeOut Drill will take place on October 19, 2017 @ 10:19am (10/19 @ 10:19). Led by the Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC) headquartered at USC, the purpose of this drill is to promote awareness about what to do before, during, and after an earthquake.

In conjunction with the statewide Great California ShakeOut drill, at 10:19am, every USC student, faculty member, and staff member is urged to practice DROP, COVER, and HOLD for 60 seconds in all offices, classrooms, labs, medical facilities, dorms and homes.  A team of Trojan ShakeOut Ambassadors are helping to spread the word about the ShakeOut, share earthquake preparedness information, and facilitate the Drop, Cover and Hold drill in each building.

Study designs and data collection strategies: scientific and logistical considerations in selecting the design to address your research question.

A Lunch & Learn Biostatistics Workshop

The Southern California Clinical and Translational Science Institute and the Keck School of Medicine are co-hosting a Biostatistics Workshop Series for junior investigators (but not limited to just junior investigators).

The Lunch & Learn Biostatistics Workshop Series was a direct response to a junior faculty survey conducted in late Fall 2016.  Our goal is to address important research needs for junior faculty by offering workshops that will help them write stronger grant proposals and conduct better research studies.  These workshops are open to all that is interested in attending.
