Glenn Dicterow and Karen Dreyfus Join Thornton Strings Faculty

The New York Times and Los Angeles Times reported that Glenn Dicterow, longest-serving concertmaster for the New York Philharmonic, and Karen Dreyfus, his wife and a teacher at the Manhattan School of Music, are joining the USC Thornton School faculty. Dicterow will have served as concertmaster for a total of 34 years when he leaves after the 2013-14 season. The Wall Street Journal reported that Dicterow has been nominated for the Robert Mann Chair in Strings and Chamber Music.
