Jimmy Villaflor is a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and drummer currently living in Los Angeles. In addition to pursuing his own project as a solo artist, he also writes for and performs with pop rock quintet, Dale. In 2013, Villaflor’s composition, “She Doesn’t Love Me Anymore,” was selected by USC’s Thornton Popular Music faculty to be presented in an opening performance for the Beach Boys at USC’s Bovard Auditorium. Jimmy is featured on Dale’s first EP, Love, dale, playing guitar and singing background, and will be featured singing lead and playing guitar on Dale’s next album, to be released later in 2015. Villaflor’s original music centers on his gift for delivering eloquent and honest lyrics. Following in the footsteps of influences like Bill Withers, James Taylor, and Ben Harper, Jimmy continues to write with the goal of opening up emotional doors for listeners and enriching appreciation for storytelling in song.
