Justin Klunk is a Los Angeles born saxophonist, keyboardist and songwriter currently pursuing a degree in Popular Music Performance at the University of Southern California (USC). Justin has performed with well-known artists such as David Benoit, David Pack, and the Steve Miller Band at venues including the Hollywood Bowl, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and The Troubadour. Justin has also been involved with the GRAMMY Foundation throughout high school by auditioning for and attending their GRAMMY Camp program. Through the GRAMMY Foundation, Justin has performed with Earth Wind and Fire, Dave Koz, and Rickey Minor as well as open for Juanes, Anthony Hamilton, and Esperanza Spalding at various GRAMMY events during college. Klunk recently formed his own band, the “Justin Klunk Band”, which showcases his rock, pop and jazz influences and compositions, and is about to record his first solo EP in April, 2013. Additionally, Justin performs regularly with up-and-coming singer songwriters Lara Johnston, Rozzi Crane, Aaron Childs, Annie Dingwall, and many others. Justin strives to take the saxophone in new directions by experimenting with pedals and electronics in his compositions to help shape his own art.
