Mary Mattei teaches voice in the Choral and Sacred Music Department at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. She earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in vocal performance from Northern Arizona University where she also was a member of the voice faculty. Prior to her return to California, Mattei taught classical and musical theater voice, voice classes, Singing for the Stage and The History of the American Musical Theater for fourteen years at the University of Miami. As a classical soloist, choral and studio singer and church musician, Mattei’s focus is to help singers and choral conductors navigate the vocal demands expected from today’s musicians.
