Matias Mora is an accomplished songwriter, producer, and guitarist. At 22, the Costa Rican native has already worked for producers Mike Elizondo and Oliver Lieber, programming and playing guitar, making it onto TV with a track for Paula Abdul. Mora’s songwriting has earned recognition winning the finalist award in the Hip Hop category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and receiving radio airplay on 106.1 KRAB. Fronting the group, Mora Mora, Matias and the band are rapidly growing a fan-base and reputation for their passionate, energy-infused performances. As a guitarist, Matias has also performed with Nickelodeon actor Devon Werkheiser, Diana Degarmo at the AT&T American Idol Celebration at LA Live, and opened for the Steve Miller Band and The Used. A senior in the inaugural class of USC’s Popular Music Program at the Thornton School of Music, Matias was recently awarded the Norman Granz Memorial Scholarship by the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation.
