Rob Nagelhout is a multi-faceted musician, songwriter/producer, and musical director with experience in genres ranging from rock, hip-hop, and pop, to jazz combo and classical orchestra. While in high school, Nagelhout not only played principal bass in his jazz orchestra, but also performed regularly on electric bass in renowned jazz pianist David Benoit’s trio. Rob graduated in spring of 2013 from USC’s Thornton School of Music, where he studied bass under esteemed jazz bassist, Alphonso Johnson. At Thornton, Rob met up with Pop/RnB singer Lily Elise, with whom he currently is the Musical Director. He also met Meghan Mahowald, and helped form their pop punk/rock band Party for One. In addition to playing bass for various artists and projects, Nagelhout recently formed a writing/production duo with Will Baldocchi called Underliners, with which he and Baldocchi have worked with many artists acting as producers, songwriters, and engineers, as well as working on their own material.
