Soprano and USC Thornton alumna Jessica Rivera (MM ’98) returns to Southern California in October to reprise her role in the groundbreaking Hubble Cantata, a multimedia “experience that pushes the boundaries of art and science as it takes audiences on a journey of wonder and exploration.”

The October performance at the Ford Theatres in Hollywood, presented in conjunction with LA Opera, also features eminent astrophysicist Dr. Mario Livio as narrator and opera star Nathan Gunn. The cantata combines music by composer Paola Prestini, libretto by Royce Vavrek and a cutting-edge virtual reality film, “Fistful of Stars,” by Eliza McNitt. Tickets for the October 11 performance are on sale now.
