Thornton Doctoral Student featured in New Bedford Symphony Orchestra season opener

South Coast Today covered a pre-concert talk and performance by pianist and USC Thornton School doctoral student Keenan Reesor for the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra’s (NBSO) season opener. Reesor praised NBSO’s educational programs before giving performances of Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Highlighting Reesor, it was said in the article that he displayed “the depth and erudition we would expect of a candidate for a doctorate in musicology and the down-to-earth humility and warmth that later infused his brilliant technical mastery of the piano with soul force and heart.”
