As USC students get ready to finish up the first week of the fall semester, we’re taking you back to Widney Hall in the 1970s! Dedicated on September 4, 1880, Widney Hall is the oldest continual use university building in Southern California, and is a both a California Historic Monument and a Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument. This small wooden building would house the School of Music for almost half of its history. Recent alumni might recognize Widney Hall by its new name, the Alumni House.
