Yoshi Masuda (DMA) was awarded the first prize and the John Hopkins Memorial Award at the Australian Concerto & Vocal Competition. Masuda won prize money and a concerto and recital tour in Australia. He also won the strings division and came in second place overall at the 40th National Young Artist Competition, hosted by the Midland Symphony Guild, in Texas.
