Gail Samuel


Gail Samuel currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, overseeing operations at the Hollywood Bowl, management of the Philharmonic orchestra, programming of jazz, world music, orchestral pops and pop/rock presentations by the Association at both the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall, concert production, public relations and community affairs.

Gail’s tenure at the Los Angeles Philharmonic began close to 20 years ago when she first joined the organization as Orchestra Manager. Prior to coming to the Philharmonic, she held positions with the Minnesota Orchestra, Yale University, Tanglewood Music Festival and the Young Musicians Foundation.

A native of the Los Angeles area, Gail was raised in Claremont. She studied violin and earned undergraduate degrees in music and psychology, as well as an MBA from the University of Southern California.

In 2014, Gail was honored with the 2014 Alumni Merit Award at the 81st Annual USC Alumni Awards.
