Describe your favorite USC Thornton experience so far.

Participating in and leading the Thornton Chamber Opera of USC (both digitally and in person).

What was your favorite USC GE class?

“The Messiah: The History of an Idea”. Really amazing professor who helped me with my writing and critical thinking skills, and a really interesting subject.

What is your favorite thing about being in Los Angeles?

Always something to get involved in or participate in. Huge presence of professional musicians and mentors. There are copious opportunities for experience and portfolio building.

What is something you wish you knew when you were applying to college?

Being your truly honest self is the most effective way to get where you want to go. Most façades we create for ourselves prevent us from reaching our full potential.

What is your favorite thing about being a student at the Thornton School?

Cross-disciplinary collaboration is prolific and encouraged by all parties.

Why did you choose the Thornton School?

I knew I would be in the hands of excellent faculty, and I knew I would be surrounded by talented peers: these two ingredients are the fuel for my improvement as a musician.
