DJ and producer Daniel Bell is a pioneer in the minimalist techno genre, which he has been involved with since its inception in the early 1990’s. Creating sounds influenced by Chicago House music of the 1980s, as well as the works of minimalist composers Steve Reich and Philip Glass, his Losing Control (performing as DBX) became one of the biggest underground smashes of the 1990s.

Bell is currently on the Music Industry faculty at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
