USC Thornton Fall 2020 Festival: An Evening with the Classical Guitar department

The USC Thornton School of Music presents the Fall 2020 Fetival, nine nights of virtual performances celebrating the Fall 2020 semester. On Tues., Dec. 8, the Classical Guitar department celebrates the rich legacy of outstanding guitar ensembles at USC with an evening of student, alumni, and faculty performances. Highlights include works by Vivaldi, Joplin, Hendrix, and a journey into Super Mario Bros. you won’t want to miss! Faculty member William Kanengiser directs and solos with the USC Guitar Orchestra and performs a movement from “the Walls” by Sergio Assad. The evening culminates with the GRAMMY Award-winning alums of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet honoring their 40th anniversary in a broadcast premiere of “Aerial Boundaries” by Micheal Hedges.
