Individuals who wish to leave a permanent legacy at the USC Thornton School of Music are invited to establish an endowed scholarship in their own name or that of someone else. Annual yield from these scholarships benefit Thornton students in the musical or academic discipline of the donor’s choosing in perpetuity. The mininmum gift amount to establish a named endowed scholarship is $15,000.
The generosity of these scholarship patrons is celebrated every year at the Annual Scholarship Celebration. At this event, donors have a chance to meet the particulars student(s) supported by their contribution for that year.
It is particularly meaningful for Thornton students to have the opportunity to meet their benefactor(s) each year. This connection is made at the annual Thornton Scholarship Celebration. Students and Thornton patrons gather together to enjoy a meal and a variety of student performances.
