Called “one of the brightest and most accomplished young performer/scholars in today’s contemporary saxophone world” by the legendary saxophonist and pedagogue, Dr. Frederick Hemke, Jessica Maxfield is a sought-after educator, clinician, and adjudicator, with engagements throughout the world. Maxfield has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras and her dissertation, Contributions to the Early History of the Saxophone in Germany, is currently pending publication. Maxfield is a member of the Winds & Percussion faculty at the USC Thornton School of Music, where she teaches saxophone.
