What is it like to be afraid of everything? To even be afraid of being afraid? Follow Blanche de la Force as she attempts to escape the impending Nazi terror infiltrating France by hiding in a convent. When the Nazis invade, however, will Blanche and the Sisters of the Convent of Compiegne renounce their religion in order to survive or will they make the ultimate sacrifice by remaining true to their beliefs? Based on a true story, this opera, written immediately after WWII by Francis Poulenc, will keep you riveted and may even cause you to question your beliefs and how far you are willing to go in defense of them.
