Frank Ticheli warmly reviewed by the New York Classical Review

The East Coast premiere of composer and USC Thornton faculty member Frank Ticheli’s Symphony No. 3 “The Shore” was warmly reviewed by the New York Classical Review following a February performance at Carnegie Hall by the New York Choral Society.

The review drew stylistic similarities with Debussy and Ravel, while lauding the symphony for its “richly expressive” qualities and also lamented that the work took so long to reach the East Coast.
