All students who are new to USC (both domestic and international) are encouraged to sign up for Welcome Trojans Graduate Summer Orientation, a campus-wide online experience consisting of self-paced orientation video modules and resources on the Trojan Engagement Center. An invitation email to register for orientation will be sent in early July to your USC email address.

USC Thornton Graduate Student Orientation

The Thornton orientation for new graduate students is a multi-component experience that includes a Thornton-specific orientation website, Academic Expectations Zoom meeting, and an advisement and registration Zoom meeting. By July 15, all new graduate students, including those who hold bachelor’s degrees from USC, will receive an email with a link to the Thornton New Graduate Student Orientation website. By July 24, your academic advisor will email you information regarding academic advisement and registration meeting. This meeting will take place on Zoom during the first two weeks of August.

Fall Course Registration
Please note that registration for fall classes will take place during the first two weeks of August. You may see a note in your myUSC landing page that references your ability to register for classes now, but you will not register until August.

Academic Expectations Zoom Meeting on Tuesday, August 4 at 10AM PDT
This is a mandatory Zoom meeting for all new graduate students. During this meeting, you will meet your advisors and learn about your degree requirements and university policies.

USC Thornton Welcome Events
