What are your plans for the summer and next year now that you graduated?
Over the summer, I will be working in the Los Angeles area as a freelance musician and researcher for @Choirclusive. I will also complete arrangements for my professional a cappella group and other commissions. In September, I will begin my Masters at Cambridge University (UK) Queens’ College, starting with a choir tour to France! While in England, I hope to continue my inclusivity research and singing in a variety of genres, from classical to a cappella!
What was one of your favorite USC Thornton experiences?
Singing with the Rolling Stones at Desert Trip in Coachella!
What was your favorite USC GE class?
Murder on Trial in America- as a true crime fanatic, this was a very exciting class!
What is your favorite thing about being in Los Angeles?
Being able to go to the beach, go on a hike, be in the desert or go to the snow within a day.
What is something you wish you knew when you were applying to college?
I wish I knew that despite choosing a specific major, you are not restrained to that single field!
Where is your favorite place on campus?
Any Starbucks around USC where I can do work and caffeinate.
What was your favorite thing about being a student at the Thornton School?
The amazing caliber in all three disciplines! I can study jazz, pop and classical at a high level without even leaving Thornton!
Why did you choose the Thornton School?
Like above, I was excited that I didn’t have to restrict myself with a Conservatory and could study multiple types of music, pursue research and law.
