Resident conductor Sharon Lavery and guest conductor Frank Ticheli, a faculty member in the USC Thornton Composition program, lead USC Thornton Winds in a performance featuring "Come Sunday" by Omar Thomas, along with a guest appearance from the GRAMMY-winning jazz supergroup Yellowjackets.

Yellowjackets, comprising USC Thornton faculty members Will Kennedy, Bob Mintzer and Russell Ferrante with bassist Dane Alderson, is the USC Thornton Ensemble-in-Residence for the 2021-2022 academic year. The group has recorded nearly 30 albums and received 17 GRAMMY nominations during their four-decade tenure.

Free and open to the public. Seating is limited based on health guidelines and registration is required.
