Jennifer Marotta performs with Equity Arc Wind Symphony for CBS “60 Minutes”

Trumpet player and USC Thornton faculty member Jennifer Marotta was featured in a CBS “60 Minutes” segment that aired on March 16, covering the United States Marine Band concert with teens from Equity Arc that was canceled due to an executive order banning DEI programs throughout the government. The story covered how a new concert was organized by Equity Arc, a nonprofit organization that provides mentoring for young musicians of color, and accompanied by retired Marine musicians such as Marotta. The Equity Arc Wind Symphony performed in front of millions of people as part of CBS’s national broadcast.
