Jeremy Gruber, adjunct professor in Music Industry at USC Thornton, is the head of Digital Marketing & Strategy at Friends at Work. Having joined them in 2016, he continues to use his diverse experiences in digital communication to facilitate conversation between their varied partners and their audiences.
Gruber is an alumnus of the Music Industry program. He began his career at USC managing musicians through the tumultuous start of the digital music age. Upon graduating he joined the boutique marketing firm Sabre Entertainment where he helped manage the corporate, public speaking and wine career of legendary rock star Mick Fleetwood.
Gruber went on to run the digital marketing department at 10th Street Entertainment and Eleven Seven Music where he worked with marquis rock bands like Mötley Crüe, Papa Roach, JET, and Blondie.
In 2010, Jeremy Gruber joined the leading independent record label Concord Music Group, helping to establish their Direct to Consumer eCommerce strategy and moving on to integrate digital marketing, advertising and eCommerce in their complete Digital Marketing & Strategy department as the first VP of Digital in the company’s history.
