Munachimso Mbaezue Featured in DailyTrojan
Musical Theatre sophomore Munachimso Mbaezue was interviewed by the DailyTrojan for his film “The Principles of Progeny” which “explores the two-dimensional legacy of the enslavement and colonization of Black and non-black peoples…[and] showcases the contemporary and historic lenses of Black excellence through song, storytelling and dance.” The student produced film, part of a larger project entitled “The Movement: It Continues…”, was made in collaboration with his peers Talha Barberousse and Nia Otchere-Sarfo and faculty advisor Karen Parks. One of Mbaezue’s very first choral composition pieces is featured in the project, with more pieces and performance to come in the future.
