    USC’s SoCal Vocals featured in Rolling Stone on Tribeca Film Festival premiere

    USC’s SoCal Vocals were featured in Rolling Stone for their performance in the documentary Just Sing, which premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival. Directed by Angelique Molina and Abraham Troen, the film follows USC’s premier a cappella group as they balance pressure and passion ahead of their final pre-graduation test at New York’s International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella.

    The SoCal Vocals are comprised of several USC Thornton students and alumni, including Yohanna Bauerdorf, Tiffany Galaviz, Raymond Ortiz, Zoe Upkins, Matt Weaver (’25), Jillian Batt (’24), Chloe Gardner (’24), Mateo Gonzales (’24), Maddi Lasker (’24), Katherine Nerro (’24) and Sam Avila (’23). The group also features USC alumni from other schools, such as Claudia Bennett (’25, Dramatic Arts), Dylan Beck (’24, Dramatic Arts), Janina Colucci (’24, Dramatic Arts), Lily Castle (’23, Dramatic Arts) and Dani Eustaquio (’24, Marshall).
