Join the USC Thornton School of Music for Trojan Family Weekend on Thursday, October 29th, to Saturday, November 1st. This annual celebration is an opportunity for families to visit campus and experience our scholastic community.
The weekend features events across the university, including those hosted by USC Thornton. Admission is free. Be sure to register here for access to the weekend’s events.

Day in the Life: The Thornton Student Experience
October 30, 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
A presentation by members of the Thornton School’s leadership and honored guests, including School of Music Dean Jason King. Includes a reception with light food and refreshments for Thornton parents, students, and friends. Trojan Family Weekend RSVP required.
October 30, 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Join USC Thornton School of Music for a special Trojan Family Weekend celebration honoring legendary lyricist and storyteller Bernie Taupin. Registration available for Trojan Family attendees via the weekend’s platform. General public tickets are available on Eventbrite.

Meet USC President Beong-Soo Kim. Raised in Los Angeles and the son of parents who attended USC, he understands the power of education and is proud to serve the Trojan Family.
Teddy Abrams: In Conversation
October 30, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Grammy Award-winning conductor, composer, and musical innovator Teddy Abrams joins Thornton School of Music Professor Nate Sloan for an onstage conversation, introduced by Dean Jason King.
MUIN Student, Family, & Alumni BBQ
October 31, 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The USC Thornton Music Industry Program (MUIN) hosts a barbecue during Trojan Family Weekend. Open to Music Industry students, families, & alumni with an RSVP. Contact MUIN for details.
