Andrew Norman and Ted Hearne profiled in article on the influence of composer Thomas Adès

Composition faculty Andrew Norman (BM ’02, MM ’04) and Ted Hearne were profiled in The New York Times about the influence of British composer Thomas Adès. Norman will see one of his works performed with a piece by Adès in a concert sponsored by Carnegie Hall at the Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Library on February 22 featuring the Calder Quartet, who formed while students at USC, Norman and Hearne, along with four other composers, form a collective called Sleeping Giant, which has created a reimagining of the Mozart Requiem that will have its premiere with the Albany Symphony in March.
