Annenberg student Enzo Luna finds path to USC through Thornton’s Community Engagement Program

New USC Annenberg transfer student Enzo Luna talks about how an early experience with USC Thornton as a high schooler set him on the path to pursue his degree at USC in a recent Annenberg article.

Luna started receiving guitar lessons from Thornton students through the Community Engagement Program, offering Luna the opportunity to learn more about the instrument and develop an interest in music journalism. “I learned that music is oftentimes political and how that could be important,” he said. “And I really wanted to be a part of that, so that’s where my mind was before heading off to college.”

Now, as an Annenberg student, Luna hopes to pursue a career in journalism to amplify creative voices in low-income communities “because they have creative potential and great ideas that should be shown to the world.”
