What is your favorite place on campus and why?

It would have to be McCarthy Quad because it is very calm. It is also a great place for studying.

What is your go-to place for a delicious snack/meal on or around campus?

Dave’s Hot Chicken

What is your favorite thing about Los Angeles?

Los Angeles is a vibrant city that has both metropolitan (DTLA) and natural aspects to it (beach, hikes). There are great art museums, thrift shops, and food places that are very authentic. Concerts are always available every week for music fans.

What advice would you share with students applying to music schools right now?

I would say don’t be too stressed about auditions. Try to relax and build confidence in yourself. If someone really puts in the work for a task, there will be a good outcome.

Why did you choose USC Thornton?

I chose USC Thornton School of Music because of its setting, which is in Los Angeles. I find the music/art scene to be lucrative and engaging. I met many people from different musical majors, which helps for possible collaboration. The faculty are also very supportive of students’ musical journey, which is needed.
