Austin Wintory to conduct 2026 BAFTA Games in Concert

USC Thornton Composition program alumnus Austin Wintory (’07) is set to conduct the BAFTA Games in Concert in Jan. 2026 at Royal Festival Hall. Celebrating 20 years of the BAFTA Games Awards, the concert features soundtracks ranging from household names to those from pioneering independent studios.

“I take a certain delight in programming into the set list these hard pivots and it always gets kind of a smile and a laugh from the audience when you go from ‘Doom’ to ‘Zelda’ or something,” Wintory said of the eclectic setlist. “They’re kind of like, ‘oh wow’ and that’s a little representation of why the art is so compelling and why we love games.”

Wintory is known for his work on “Journey,” the only video game to be nominated in the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category at the Grammy Awards, as well as his work on “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate,” “Captain Abu Raed” and more.
