What is your favorite place on campus and why?

My favorite places would be the VPD building (mostly to study) and the Thornton Courtyard to enjoy the weather and listen to the Thornton ensembles rehearse.

What is your go-to place for a delicious snack/meal on or around campus?

My go to place for a snack around campus is between Spudnuts and La Michoacana. For a delicious meal, probably Northern Cafe.

What is your favorite thing about Los Angeles?

My favorite thing about Los Angeles is how accessible public transportation is. From USC you can go to Santa Monica in one train or go straight to downtown LA. I also love that there is a variety of food to try!

What advice would you share with students applying to music schools right now?

Start your applications as soon as you can so you don’t get overwhelmed in the fall! In some cases, the essay prompts are available during the summer.

Why did you choose USC Thornton?

Faculty was one one of the main reasons why I chose Thornton. I met one of my guitar professors at a masterclass and ever since that day, I knew I wanted to work with them for the next four years. They have all been supportive of my other interests like starting a mariachi ensemble at USC and I have improved so much under their instruction.
