The Thornton Lawn is a great place to eat lunch with friends, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy some time in nature

What is your favorite thing about Los Angeles?
The food! We have access and proximity to so many amazing cultural cuisines.
What advice would you share with students applying to music schools right now?
Think about the bigger picture! The environment of a music school has such a large impact on your overall well being and subsequently, your growth as a musician. Find a place that facilitates your growth as a whole person and values your humanity above your musicianship.
Why did you choose USC Thornton?
Thornton was always my top choice- it allowed for my double performance major, held high standing with other schools and boasts an incredible faculty, and most importantly, is a warm, nurturing environment that welcomes all its students into a rich, vibrant community.
