Glenn Dicterow, incoming Robert Mann Chair in Strings and Chamber Music at the USC Thornton School of Music, will give his final performances as concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic from June 24 through June 28, 2014, joining pianist Yefim Bronfman and Principal Cello Carter Brey for Beethoven’s Triple Concerto. Dicterow has served the Philharmonic as concertmaster for more than 34 years, the longest tenure of any concertmaster in the organization’s history.
Dicterow’s exit from the organization was recently featured in both The New York Times and by USC News.
