Kyle Shafiee (BM, ’12; MM, ’14, DMA) performed the Mozart Piano Concerto in d minor in Valencia, Spain with the VIPA Festival Orchestra in 2013. Upon receiving his master’s degree, Shafiee was awarded Outstanding Graduate for the Keyboard Studies Program. Along with his study in Spain, Shafiee has studied at the Altenburg Music Academy in Austria with Robert Lehrbaumer and Robert Ward, the International Summer Academy of Music in Ochsenhausen, Germany with Daniel Pollack and the Summer Piano Institute at the University of Washington with Robin McCabe and Craig Sheppard.
