All new CTP students must attend this meeting to receive information regarding degree and credential requirements. Advisement and registration for summer 2019 classes will be part of this orientation session. Please bring your personal electronic device (laptop/tablet) to register for classes.
Music Graduate Entrance Exams (MGEEs)

See detailed information on the Music Graduate Entrance Examinations (MGEE) website. It is essential for all students to take their exams prior to beginning their coursework. Failure to do so may delay progress in the degree program. Students who hold a Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Arts degree from the Thornton School of Music are exempt from any examination in fields in which they have taken comparable coursework. All other students should plan to take all exams on Tuesday, May 14 and Monday, May 20. Students who do not pass one or more of these exams will have the opportunity to retake them on August 20, 2019.
Registration and Tuition Deadline
Summer Semester
All new students must register for summer classes during the May 13 orientation. Tuition and fees will be due immediately following registration. Failure to settle your bill on time may result in late registration and/or late settlement fees. Students are encouraged to pay their bills online at usc.edu/uscepay.
Fall Semester
Advisement and registration for fall semester will take place after the first summer session is completed. All new students must register for fall classes and pay their tuition by Friday, August 23 at 5:00PM. Failure to meet this deadline may result in late registration and/or late settlement fees.
