Sam Kinsey (BM, ’16) awarded Grand Prize at Young Musicians Foundation Debut Concerto Competition

Sam Kinsey (BM, ’16) was awarded the Grand Prize at the Young Musicians Foundation Debut Concerto Competition for piano. YMF, which aims to foster “high caliber music instruction in a supportive environment,” will also feature Kinsey as a soloist with the YMF Debut Orchestra in February 2015 at the organization’s 60th Anniversary Gala Concert. Kinsey, a student of Keyboard Studies faculty Antoinette Perry, also took third place at the Siegfried Weishaupt International Piano Competition in Baden-Württemberg, Germany this past summer.
