Describe your favorite USC Thornton experience so far.

My favorite Thornton experience so far was a panel in Downtown LA at the Grammy Museum in their Clive Davis Theater. Thornton brought a group of students to see a panel with hit songwriters Ali Tamposi, Brian Lee, Andrew Watt, and Louis Bell. It was so incredible to hear them talk about their amazing songs and collaborations. And – about halfway through the event – my friends and I realized that Post Malone was sitting a couple rows back from us! It was such a fun event and made the music industry feel so accessible.

What was your favorite USC GE class?

Broadway as a Reflection of American Diversity

What is your favorite thing about being in Los Angeles?

Apart from the incredible music scene, I love being able to go to the beach! One of my favorite things is being in the sun and by the ocean.

What is something you wish you knew when you were applying to college?

To be myself on college apps. Highlighting what makes you unique and shows your personality helps you stand out and also find schools that really match your personality/what you’re looking for!

Where is your favorite place on campus?

The Village courtyard

What is your favorite thing about being a student at USC Thornton?

SO many things – but I love the professors. They are so knowledgeable, accomplished, and supportive! They are also so eager to talk with students and get them connected in the music industry.

Why did you choose USC Thornton?

A lot of reasons! I loved USC from the time I first started looking at schools – I loved the campus, the football team, the vibe… Also, I knew I wanted to major in Music Industry, and Thornton has an incredible program for this. I wanted to be at an academically challenging school so I could continue to push myself in that area as well. And the music scene (and weather) in LA are so great! All of these factors made me chose Thornton.
