Irreversible Entanglements to release new album March 27
Modern free jazz group Irreversible Entanglements announced their new album Future Present Past to be released March 27, with vocalist and Composition faculty member Camae Ayewa (Moor Mother). The album was recorded at Van Gelder Studio in New Jersey, as the group brought on frequent collaborators MOTHERBOARD and Helado Negro.
In an official statement about the album, Irreversible Entanglements shared:
“We assume our role in this music as messengers, continuing in the tradition’s long march along the arc of the universe. Freedom fighters telling us not to lose our heads amidst imposed chaos. It is our duty to vibrate higher, beyond the noise, above the hype, away from the novelty, over the walls, across the borders: to keep going.”
The group has already released two singles from the album—“Don’t Lose Your Head” and “Vibrate Higher”—available on all music streaming platforms.
