Caroline Wilkins wins the American Harp Society National Competition
Earlier this month, harpist and USC Thornton alumna Caroline Wilkins (BM ’16, MM ’19) won the grand prize in the Young Professional division at the 2019 American Harp Society (AHS) National Competition. As part of the award, Wilkins will serve as the AHS Concert Artist for the next two years, performing and presenting masterclasses at AHS chapters around the country. “These next two years are going to be a lot of fun,” she said to the Harp Column. “I absolutely love teaching, so I’d have to say that I’m most excited about the prospect of giving masterclasses and meeting so many different students around the country. I can’t wait to meet everyone and share my love of the harp with them.”
