Composition alum Nick Bentz (MM ’20) was selected by London chamber music venue Wigmore Hall to write music culled from his experiences during the COVID-19 lockdown last year. Bentz is one of 16 composers spanning five nationalities chosen for the Lockdown Commissions Scheme, the largest one-off commissioning scheme in the hall’s history. Bentz is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in music and multimedia composition at Brown University and previously served as manager of the Thornton Edge ensemble while completing his master’s degree at USC.
