David Deedwania composes score for new animated film

USC Thornton alumnus David Deedwania (‘15) collaborated with students from USC School of Cinematic Arts to create a short animated film, Trailblazer. Deedwania scored the “animated visual music piece,” which is set to premiere in 2D on May 11 at USC’s Norris Cinema Theater. During the creation of the film, the student filmmakers, led by Sagar Ramesh (USC School of Cinematic Arts ’19), developed Ollie, a new 3D animation and virtual reality (VR) tool. Trailblazer was created to show the practicality of the tool, which Ramesh hopes will make the prospect of VR creation more approachable.
