Formosa Quartet featured in U-T San Diego

The Formosa Quartet, which includes USC Thornton faculty Che-Yen Chen, was featured in an article by U-T San Diego. The article mentioned the Formosa Quartet’s unique contribution to classical music through their blend of traditional repertoire with innovative new programming and commissions. “As classical musicians, it is our mission to make sure that this art form continues. And for this art form to continue, it’s difficult to simply play the pieces from the classical (and) romantic eras,” Chen said.
