Hunter Noack performs outdoors on a Steinway grand piano in front of a mountain

Alum Hunter Noack hauls Steinway through Pacific Northwest parks for In A Landscape concert series

Hunter Noack (BM ’11) a Keyboard Studies alum, has kept busy this summer towing his nine-foot Steinway grand piano in a flatbed trailer to Oregon’s national parks as part of an innovative, outdoor concert series. In a Landscape: Classical Music in the Wild was created by Noack in 2016 as a way to both familiarize nature lovers with classical music and introduce classical music lovers to the great outdoors. Audiences are provided wireless headphones that allow them to roam the landscape while Noack provides an evocative soundtrack. Noack has performed at parks, farms, ranches and historical sites across California, Montana and the Pacific Northwest.
