James Babor interviewed in Final Note Magazine

Los Angeles Philharmonic percussionist James Babor, who is on the faculty of USC Thornton, was interviewed for Final Note Magazine, an online publication exploring classical music. In the interview, Babor spoke about his work performing with large ensembles, such as the Cleveland Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony, the Seattle Symphony and the New World Symphony, as well as performing contemporary and chamber works.

“I like to play in the Philharmonic Green Umbrella series, which is a contemporary chamber ensemble,” Babor noted. “For percussion, the music is always challenging, and I like the pressure of playing in the smaller chamber groups. It keeps me honest.”
