Jermaine Stegall featured on The Star Wars Show

Screen Scoring alum Jermaine Stegall (GCRT ’04) was interviewed in a special segment of “The Star Wars Show” about the composer’s work on “Our Star Wars Stories,” a digital series about the devoted fans of Star Wars. Stegall’s connection to the Star Wars universe began when he attended a composing lab at Skywalker Ranch, which exposed him to the community of musicians and composers who create the franchise’s signature sound.

In the segment, Stegall shares about his career as a composer, his creative process, and the lessons he would share with aspiring composers.

“Whether it be recording musical ideas into your iPhone, sketching on a piano, writing them down on paper… getting used to figuring out how you get your musical ideas out and also figuring out musically what inspires you the most and embracing that, because that really is helping you define the things that are truest to you, musically.”
