Kaitlin Miller named 2023-2025 Concert Artist of American Harp Society

Kaitlin Miller, a master’s student in the USC Thornton Strings department, was named the American Harp Society’s (AHS) 2023-2025 Concert Artist. As AHS Concert Artist, she will give performances, classes and/or workshops that benefit local harp communities. In February, she performed recitals and taught masterclasses in Atlanta, Minneapolis, Chicago and Denver, with more travels on the horizon.

“I’m thrilled by the opportunity to be giving masterclasses,” Miller said. “I am also ecstatic for the chance to work with the next generation of harpists. I distinctly remember when Abigail Kent was the AHS Concert Artist and gave a masterclass at my undergraduate program at the University of North Texas. It was so impactful to see a young professional expertly share her knowledge and experiences. I am honored and thrilled to carry the torch and inspire the next young professionals.”

In 2023, Miller won first prize in the Young Professional division of the AHS National Competition. She is a student of harpist and longtime Strings faculty member JoAnn Turovsky.
